Dear Perumale,

Thank you for the oppotunity, for the nth time! Adiyen would only want more of this…my only wish in this Bhuloka. Enough and more opportunities to see you and your various forms! Today was one such opportunity…

Adiyen happened to visit the Bhu-Neela Devi Sametha Venkataramana temple at BEML road (off ITPL road) at Bangalore. And lo! Nadaswaram sounds greeted me. There was a Kalyana Utsavam sponsored by a Bhagavataa couple. It was such a pleasure as adiyen sat through the entire event and participated in it as well. Srinivasa perumal utsavar wedded his consorts (Bhu and Neela Devi). I hope your Kalyana Utsavam continues, Perumale, as long as mankind is in existence in Bhuloka! I would like to thank the couple for sponsoring the same.

The temple is a recently built one, and is very clean and simple. At the entrance is Hanumar on the left-hand side and Ganesha on the right-hand side (yes, I know there are plenty of discussions on why Ganesha should be there in a Sri Vaishnava temple, but then he was not the main deity so it is okay I guess!). There is also a small sannadhi for Pakshi Raja – Garuda. Then there is the main sannadhi of Perumal with Ubhaya Nachimaras.  There is also a small sannadhi for our beloved saint Ramanuja. In the same campus of the temple is a Navagraha mandapam (for people who wish to pray to the planets for protection, though Narayana contains everything within Him! 🙂 ) and a separate hall to conduct homams and other activities. The temple itself is located in a quiter road, thus lending to the peace and calm.

Throughout my journey back, adiyen couldn’t help but smile thinking of You. 🙂 Thank you Sri Venkataramana.. thank you Bhu Devi, Neela Devi.

Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan.
