Dear Srinivasa Perumale,

Dear Malayappa, lord of the seven hills…

You are, but theĀ  lord of all!

The lights that shine for You this auspicious month

To You, they owe their very brightness!

In the absence of a visit to the holy hills,

Request Your divine presence at the home of rice flour lamps!

This Purattasi – Sanikkizhamai (Bhadrapada/Prausthapada month, Saturday), adiyen worships You in the effulgent radiance emanating from the flames of the rice hill lamps.

You are indeed the light that shines, tirelessly waiting for us to realise You!

For the devotees who cannot be with You physically at the temple, oh Venkateshwara, do bless them with Your presence at their homes.

Dear Perumale,

After a few months adiyen has finally been able to complete a 2-part presentation on the lives of Sri Nammazhwar and Sri Madhura Kavi Azhwar. This presentation seeks to only briefly outline their life events and what they stood for. In no way have I been able to do complete justice to their divinity. But with this attempt I have been able to increase my own awareness and I hope to do the same for other devotees.

With an attitude of humility, I present the following videos…

The story of Nammazhwar and Madhura Kavi – Part 1

The story of Nammazhwar and Madhura Kavi – Part 2

I would like to express my sincere apologies for any errors in the representation.

Vamana Jayanthi 2011

Dear Perumale,

Today – on the day of nakshatra Uttiradam in the month of Avani – is observed as Vamana Jayanthi.

I salute You dear lord incarnate who revealed Your form of a dwarf-priest who, though quite unassuming in appearance, took on the might of a powerful asura-king. I salute You Sri Vamana…

I surrender to Your mighty form as the one who took three giant steps to conquer the world, and hence conquered our pride. I surrender to You, Sri Trivikrama! Ulagam alandha perumale…the one who measured the world!

Dear Perumale,

A lot has been written about this topic, covered by the media to great lengths.

But what caught my eye was the information given in a social network by another devotee… that the greatest treasure has been found at Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple…

And this priceless treasure is none other than…

Sri Anantha Padmanabha Himself!

Truly, what greater treasure than the lord Himself lying on Adi Sesha, set in a sparkling stone image and gold-hued attire! Is there a treasure to match the lord in the whole city of Thiruvananthapuram?!
